It can be said that the most glorious time of a day is dawn. Especially, the scene of hilly region with the backdrop of mist and sunbeams is really amazing. Like an early bird, we MRTV-3 crew started our duties to shoot Muse 105 miles Trade Zone grandly stands amidst the pleasant sunrays.

In order to fulfill more economic infrastructures in the State, establishing border trade zones is one of the necessary works. These are what we learnt about the successful emergence of Muse 105 miles Trade Zone which is the biggest of its kind.

There were many steps in founding the Trade Zone. The government has systematically opened border trade offices in Myanmar-China border towns in Northern Shan State-Lashio, Muse, KyuKok, Pan Sai , Namtkham and Kwannlone since 1988.

Then, the trade system based on the currency which can be used in both countries was started.

We also implemented the legal trade system after materializing market oriented economic system. After that, the government carried out a new border trade system in order to timely prevents unbalance in trading and a step fall in prices in currency exchange.

Thus, in Muse, a new system of border trade was successfully launched through regular trade system.

Muse 105 miles Trade Zone has Export Department and Import Department. After documenting works of Export Department, we MRTV-3 crew continued to shoot the Import Department at which staff are systematically and skillfully performing their duties on legally importing the goods from China, our neighouring country.

It is learnt that duty bound staff will soon help apply import license, tax and show sample of import items of merchants and businessmen within the short time by applying computer and online system.

If one has import license permit, he can import the goods.

It is very interesting to see systematic carrying of permitted goods from China, one of Myanmar’s neigbouring country.

Lorries which have entered through Myanmar-China border gates must register at those gates. They bring various kinds of consumer goods, foodstuff, industrial materials and farm implements.

After legally coming through border gates, the trucks are to be checked at Muse 105 miles Trade Zone.

It is exciting to see the movement of those trucks traveling along the hilly region which has many twisty ways. And the way of driving by skillful drivers is also impressive.

I am 30 years old. I have 15 years experience in driving. As I wish to drive only trucks, I do this job. Because of better transportation facility, I can listen to music while driving and enjoy the life. I got B.Sc degree, I can serve my parents. I am trying to own a truck.

That’s the simple way of thinking about life by a local.

Soon, we are arriving Muse 105 miles Trade Zone.

At Muse 105 miles Trade Zone, an Import Department is set up.

All the imported goods from China are listed and checked for complete documents.

As quality of imported goods essentially needs to meet the set standard, standardizing of foodstuff, consumer goods and industrial raw materials with the samples is done at the department.

MRTV-3 took the opportunity to video tape the swift tasks by strenuous efforts of skillful staff.

Import Businessman

I am U Hsan Ni. I live in Muse. Now I am here at Import Department for required inspection. I have been trading in Muse for 5 years. The business is more convenient because of the modern trading system. I have a plan to invest more. I am importing various consumer goods.

Similarly, staff of Import Department make checking on the heavy goods by taking up any material seen on the trucks and overall checking on the portable materials by changing the container truck.

Now, the government is promoting the national economy with momentum. So, normal trade which is carried out with one stop service in border trade are very important in trade sector.

Realizing that the Muse 105 miles Trade Zone creates many job opportunities for locals, we MRTV-3 crew, are looking forward to shooting the various tasks of the zone on the next day.
