At dawn, the sound of the drum made from a hollowed log reminds the sleeping villagers to start the day’s work and the whole village woke up. Before the sunrise, the farmers are preparing the cows and buffalos and left for farm. Housewives are preparing to cook for the family and after soon to the monastery at the edge of the village.

Betel gardens and vegetables cultivations are good income. Household goods such as basket, round bamboo tray and sieves; building materials such as bamboo wall, bamboo flooring and bamboo strips; fisheries material such as bamboo fish traps are woven by so many bamboo such as Tin bamboo, Hmyin bamboo, Kya-Thaung bamboo and Wa-Boe bamboo. Then, they sell them at the town.

They are skillful in handicraft and can produce high quality cane appliances. Their workmanship is good enough to export them to international markets. In rainy season, village girls work in farms and they spend the rest of the time by weaving mats and baskets, twisting yarn into ropes without any spare time.

At the beginning of the cold season, comes the harvest time. They prepared for paddy threshing. They rely on North wind and thresh the paddy with sift by traditional way.

Foremost first crops glutinous rice are steamed and offered to Sangha. And then, they share with neighbouring houses. They sent steamed glutinous rice for farmers who are working in the farm and they enjoyed fistful warm steamed glutinous rice with salt and oil. That was so delicious to have with warm green tea.
