The Union of Myanmar, made up of various national races is a sovereign and independent nation. As Union spirit is the basic requirement for the independent and sovereign nation, all national races have been living together based on Union spirit in the Union of Myanmar. The Chin state is located in the west of Myanmar. It has an area of 13 thousand 907 sq miles. Chin state has a mild hot, wet climate. The population of chin state is over 473 thousand. A large majority of the people are chins. Mros (mago), khamis and Bamars form significant parts in southern and western parts of Chin State. Hakha is the capital of Chin State. |

Taungzalat or tree rhododendron grows in areas of higher altitudes. Tree rhododendron and orchids beautify the Chin state. Pine trees grown especially in areas with an altitude of more than 3 thousand feet. Shifting cultivation is the most widely used practice. Paddy is the major crop being grown in Chin state. Paddy is also grown by means of hillside cultivation on over 7.0 thousand acres. Other corps and plants grown are maize, beans and pulses, sunflower, sugarcane, tobacco and various kinds of vegetables and fruits. There is a back strap loom for domestic use at almost every household. There are quite a few traditional festivals among chin nationals. The Reh Lake is famous in Chin state as the prettiest spot. It is located between Chin mountain range and Indian mountain range. It is situated in Falam Township of Chin State. Natma Hill Wildlife Reserve situated in Kanpetlet Township, southern Chin state is a place of keen interest to tourists who want to enjoy the natural beauty and hiking. |

The government has increased its momentum in rapid development of economic, education, health, transportation and that of other basic infrastructures in states and division including border region. If you take close-up view of education in Chin state, there were previously 798 primary schools increased to 116,776 middle schools were extended into 8,317 high school to 25 and 194 post primary schools were additionally opened. Moreover, Government Technological colleges, computer colleges and educational colleges are being launched for chin national youths to easily pursue higher education. You may observe the development of health sector in Chin state by counting the extended 100 bed hospital, 4 station hospitals, 4 dispensaries and 13 rural, health centers. In agricultural sector, over 3,280 acre of pickle-tea leaf plantation are successfully grown with the encouragement of the government with has targeted that Chin state must be a tea-growing region. In order to supply food sufficiency, 568 acres high land have been reclaimed and over 23,000 acres of green and lush cultivation have been planted. |

Furthermore, traditional mython breeding in Chin state becomes the main economy of the locals as the government has allocated 100 million kyats and encouraged for systematic mython breeding which is aimed to an export industry. |
