Myanmar is the home to over Buddhists and that is why it is home to religious buildings, pagodas, and temples. You will find various sizes and shapes of pagodas which have been built accordingly to each and every donor’s choice, thus they are of all size and shape. Sambuddhe Pagoda is well-known for its architectural designs. The pagoda is situated within 7 miles South East of Mongywa, Sagaing Division in Upper Myanmar-37 acres wide the square-shaped ground is surrounded by walls. It is clean and pleasant although the place is next to a dense mountain porest. |

The pagoda was built by Mohnyin Sayadaw in 1937. And at the gate-way of the pagoda on each side of the gate way you will see two white elephants students and purther on two Buddha statues. In the compound of the pagoda, there are two main religious buildings main shrine, and prayer hall. In the main shrine, upper and lower satellite pagodas of different sizes and shapes are built. And there are also many satellite pagodas of all shape and sizes in the prayer hall. In all there are 864 upper and lower satellite pagodas in the two buildings. The strange thing about the pagoda is its flag-mast built around the pagoda. Buddhists build flag-masts as commemoratives signs in pagodas’ compounds. The flag-masts near Sambuddhe Pagoda are built on a brick-foundation and at the top of the flag-masts there are brick-spire like roof-Buddha-shaped flag-masts. It is a systematic building style and it takes Lucidity. The descriptive plays, floral designs and fruits offered to the Buddha or monks are painted on the outer brick-wall of the pagoda. |

There are different sizes and pastures of Buddha images in the main shrine, the standing images are placed at the corner and the sitting images are on wide and open space. The pagodas are placed according to its number on the brick wall so its building style is not annoyed at the sight of somebody. |

The holes where light rays can pass through made at the roof in order to see the images with natural lights. The wind holes are hidden by Abaya Pagoda to prevent the rough wind and to bring smooth wind in the main shrine. The main shrine is composed of four main rooms. Prayer hall is composed of (8) rooms in the length and (4) rooms in the width. Although there are many rooms, the Buddha image in the back room can be seen from the front room horizonally and the Buddha images at the side, laterally. |
