Sagaing in Central Myanmar is one of the centres of Myanmar culture. At the foot of Sagaing hill, near Buddha university, lies Buddha Museum and Cultural Museum where Myanma traditional cultural heritages and sacred Buddha relics, wood thrones used in 17 and 18 centuries in Konbaung dynasty, lacquer boxes, mosaic boxes and ancient utensils are exhibited for the visitors to study.

Moreover, the antiques royal utensils of Pyu and Konbaung periods including ordinary household utensils are also exhibited.
