If I have to present an interesting story of the crocodiles which is one of the endanger species. The crocodile generations have never changed their shapes for 200 million years. There are many stories about crocodiles not only world wide but also in Myanmar. Myanmar has many legends about crocodiles including ShinHmweLun and MinNandar, in which famous characters are crocodiles. That can still give the feeling of feel, fear and sympathy as well as other well-known true and strange crocodiles stories.

Ngamoeyeik bridge built across Ngamoeyeik creek is named after the remarkable crocodile Ngamoeyik as in the Myanmar legend. Nowadays, Myanmar government established crocodile breeding resort with two main objectives. There are to maintain crocodile population and to see that they multiply and to let the public know more about crocodiles. The 40 acres Ngamoeyeik crocodile breeding resort undertaken by the Fisheries Department of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries was established in MyaKhwaNyo Street, in Industry Ward, Thakayta Township on 2^nd of May 1978.

Later it was upgraded into a crocodile park for public to visit. And finally, it was opened as Ngamoeyiek Crocodile Breeding Resort on 5^th of November 1997. The species of crocodiles which can be seen in sea water and fresh water are called Thanthumar species in Myanmar. On maturity it is 30 feet long and the biggest crocodile species in the world. Now there are a total of 1,000 crocodiles at Ngamoeyeik crocodile breeding resort.
