Culture Museum ( Keng Tong )

To observe the customs and traditions of Shan national races residing in Myanmar, a cultural museum is built in the east part of Keng Tong Township, eastern Shan State in Myanmar.

The Cultural Museum in Keng Tong is divided into three portions. The first section shows the costumes and utensils of Shan national races living in the eastern Shan state. These are the costumes and utensils of Gon Shan ethnic group, Wa ethnic group, Tai Lon ethnic group, Tai Lwe ethnic group, Akhar ethnic group, Tai Lei ethnic group, Inn ethnic group, Lahu ethnic group, Taine ethnic group and Bamar national races.

Among them, you will witness complete display of Shan traditional musical instruments.At the booth of religion, miniature replice of pagodas in Keng Tong are being shown, so also are some displays which shows Buddha’s religion.
To put it in a nut shell, cultural museum in Keng Tong is a place where everyone can study the beauty of Shan traditional costumes as well as musical instruments in one setting.
