The State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar, has been striving all out for peace and tranquility of the nation and for the country to become modern with all round development in all sectors with added momentum.

In striving for the development of the state, industrial sector development is the main endeavour. The government has organized the scattered pre-private industry and established an industrial sector for their development and thus, now in Myanmar, 18 industrial zones have emerged in States and Divisions.
Among the established industrial zones, the Kyaukse Industrial Zone is outstanding. The Kyaukse Industrial Zone is situated 4 miles from the ancient Myin Saing town in Kyaukse Township.

Factories already opened in the Kyaukse Industrial Zone are Candy Factory, Shoe Factory, Bicycle Factory, Plastics Factory, Cement Factory, Sewing Machine Factory and the Vest Factory. There are still some factories under construction and many are to be established too.

The Candy Factory was established by the Myanmar Foodstuff Industries. And from this factory, clean and high quality modern candies are being produced at reasonable prices. This candy factory is being established with the intention of producing import substitute products.
