Peace and tranquility prevail the entrie forest but singing of the birds. The panorama is picturesque as mountain ranges and ravines are including in the scene apart from the forest. There is a motorway winding up and down the mountain to pass through the forest and the hills.Tourists can reach Mogok, the ruby land of Myanmar, by this route. Mogok is 125 miles from Mandalay City. The motorway is safe although there are nearly one thousand bends and curves along the route.

The region being the home of national races- Shan- Palaung and Lisu, the travellers can see their villages along the route and study their traditional customs and vacational work. The national races in the region are leaving an honest and peaceful way of live by farming, wood cutting, weaving thatch for roofing and selling regional products and vegetable.

There is Shwe Nyaungbin village, named after a majestic banyan tree, after driving ¾ of the route. It is a village of mixed national races Shans and Bhamas. By driving further, you’ll observe fairly close small village of the national races at the foot and at the top of the mountains. There are pleasant viewing of mountain plantations as well as farms on the plains.

After passing these villages travellers will arrive their destination Mogok- known as the ruby land either in Myanmar or the international community.Mogok has significant characteristic. It is built around a lake and the town is surrounded by mountains. Mogok exists 3 thousand 800 feet high in the western tip of the Shan Yoma range.

Tourists can see pleasant views and superb panorama of existence of Mogok by visiting there. They can also study the extraction of precious gems- ruby, sapphire and other valuable stones.
