How many kinds of musical instruments are on display?
In this exhibition hall, there are ten exhibition booths comprising 280 musical instruments as exhibits on display.
The first exhibition booth is " Historical Background of Myanma Musical Instrument " and then five kinds of musical instrument such as brass instruments, string instruments, wind instruments, percussion instruments and clapper instruments are on display as five booths. Moreover, the younger generation can study the old musical instruments which were displayed by the well-known Myanmar musicians. And, the another booth is called "the various sound instruments" such as bells , jingle bells and triangular brass bongs. As the center piece of the exhibition, Myanmar traditional grand orchestra and the grand musical instruments of the nationalities are on display.

In this exhibition, the various musical instruments of nationalities from all regions of the country were collected and now on display.
Are there any special entertainment or demonstrations?
Yes. During the exhibition period, the demonstration of the Myanma grand orchestra, Myanma xylophones, Myanmar harps, Myanmar short drums and Myanmar cymbals will be made by the musicians from the Department of Fine Arts and the students from the University of Culture. Myanmar oboes and different kinds of flutes will be presented by the old masters like Ywasargyi Sein Mya Shin of Mandalay and U Mya Gyi of Yangon. And many invited musician groups will present their demonstration everyday. These groups are Makhautbyaw group from Sagaing Division, Mon State Cultural Troupe, Rakhine Auspicious Drum players, Chin Strange musicians who can play Chin traditional flute with his nose and the Kachin traditional musicians, all of them will demonstrate alternatively. The demonstration time is from 10 to 12 in the morning and from 2 p.m. to 4 in the evening.
Do you think how can we get benefits because of holding Myanma Traditional Musical Instruments?
Oh! Quite a lot! Because this kind of Traditional Musical Instruments Exhibition was held in 1955 for the first time. And this is only the second time, we can hold such kind of exhibition after nearly 50 years. So, by holding this kind of exhibition, we can make the new generation youths to know better about our culture, our music and our musical instruments them before.
And we intend to show our unity among all the nationalities and races of our country. The last I would like to say is this exhibition is a welcoming movement for the forth-coming eleventh Myanma Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition.
