Nan Pan Markets Days

Today is the Market Day at Nan Pan which is the village near by the Innlay Lake. So many boats are already gather here since early morning. This market takes place only once every five days. All of the villagers gather here to sell their garden’s produces. Fresh green vegetables, tomatoes and foods are sold in many sprits.

Flowers are bought to adorn their altars at home. Home made clothing and bags and blankets are also sold with the charming smile to please the customers. Strangely enough we see a woman selling specially beans which is sold after chose by pregnant woman.

Another vendor piles are Monlepwe (Pan Cracker) which is commonly marked as small eat. When their goods are also out, they happily buy boiled rice which is strangely sold by weight wrapped with the lotus leaves.

After paying the rice seller the wonderful amount of cash, they go off to food stall to eat their morning meats.

Here Tofu is added with various other species and eatable delicious things with the boiled rice.Long tables are arranged with teak-flats and everyone is welcomed to sit and eat.
A mother carrys her child in the traditional manner and feeds her baby while she too fill her own stomach. She cannot bend for what’s for fear that the child may be uncomfortable (or) injure.After they had meat, they contentedly relax their self-made petal-pack with dry tobacco-leaf. Other enjoy smoking a cheroot.

High quality earthen pots of various shapes which can be used for miscellaneous purposes are also seen in abundance.These Cheerful Shans leaves for homes but they will all come back again after five days when the next market days start.
