Today we are going to present an interesting programme about pet show and contest for pet lovers. The objectives of holding this contest are

- to be a way of support for peace of mind of city dwellers

- to show the high living standard of Myanmar by keeping and protecting pets

- to show the morale of the people.

First, we are going to present contest for Dogs. Altogether (8) groups including Myanmar breeds participated in this contest.For foreign breed, Alsatian, Rottweiler, Great Dane, St. Bernard, Collie, Dobermann, Chow Chow, Terrier, Samoyed, Pekingnese and Shih Tzis dogs took part.

First and foremost, participants had to go through medical checkup such as weighing and measuring of height.After that, judges 4 members for each group again checked them. You can’t expect that your dog will win the race because it is big.There are so many rules for this contest. Teeth must be in incisor shape and canine teeth should be close to one another. But if they exist too closely and form double, marks are not given.

Their size and shape must go well according to each group. Marks are given for injection against preventive diseases

- Fitness and health

- Pedigree

- Cleanliness

- Proper arrangement

- Obedience

- Being gentle and tame

After inspecting these, the best (male) (female) for each group and a consolation prize was given.
