A team of 6 adventure tour promoters led by Mr. Brett Melzer of Australia successfully completed between 14^th and 16^th February 2003 their first try at rafting and kayaking along the Maykha and Malikha Rivers in Kachin State for promotion of hotels and tourism under the aegis of the Ministry. On 19^th February, for the first trip, Mr.Brett Melzer and party together with guide Rawan national U Aryin of Myitkyina Snowland Tourism Company rafted the origin of Maylikha through Namtlan Creek and arrived at Mulashidi Village, Puta O on 20^th February.

On 3^rd March, they took the second trip along Maykha starting from Tanzondan Village at the foot of Khakaborazi and successfully arrived at Chibway on 12^th March. Experienced men of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa are involved in the team. They enjoyed fast flow of the rivers and natural beauty of environs different from other countries.
