An exhibition with the aim of enhancing better understanding of the socio-economic life of Wa, Kokant, Salon, Naga, Chin, Akhar, Kayan, Mro, Maramagyi, and PaO nationals was held at Diamond Jubilee hall of Yangon University with the aim of enhancing better understanding on 30^th August to 2^nd of September 2002.

At the exhibition, you can study photographs, books, cultural artifacts, utensils, dresses, and a video show on socio-economic life of ten national races which have been researched from 1996 to 2002 by Anthropology Department.

About Naga National by Daw Yee Yee Cho ( Tutor, Anthropology Department, Yangon University )

Here we display the photos and utensils of Naga nationals which were taken during our researched in January 1999.

Naga ethnic group can be found in Nanyon, Lahae, Lishu Townships in Khanti District, Sagaing Division. There are over 40 sub-tribes in Naga area.

Annually, Naga nationals celebrate their New Year Festival in the January the14^th. Naga ground in Khanti where they celebrate their traditional festival become the venue of New Year Festival until 1999. Later, it is held on rotational basics.

During the festival, Naga nationals who reside different parts of the region take place and enjoy their traditional view and diet. They met friendly; they dance happily and sing their traditional songs all life long. You can study three kinds of believes in their religion Animism, Buddhism and Christianity. Their economy is primly based on dry agriculture and hunting.
