The World renowned Shwedagon Pagoda archways are decorated with elegant Myanma craftsmanship. The pilgrims and the visitors can go up to the Pagoda platform conveniently by elevators and escalators installed there as well as on foot through 4 magnificent archways.If the visitors go up to the platform on foot through the archways, they can first observe two large Lion statues of cement standing magnificently at the entrance to the archways. The sculpture of the Lions is one of the ten traditional arts and crafts of Myanmar.

The Buddha statues are crafted with marble, jade cover as well as teak and Yamane wood. The gilded statues are then put on sale at the shops on the Pagoda archways.
