We are now at Shwetaung, about 173 miles away from Yangon. We take a short break here to have lunch. And the curry looks delicious. We are now on the way to Pyay. This is Ayeyarwaddy river and the bridge behind me is Nawaday Bridge. In a moment from now, we will be passing through Pyay. And as all of you see, the scenery is quite amazing. |

From Pyay we continue our journey. The scenery gradually changes from time to time. At a certain place, we pass hills as well as bridges. At one point, we pass a creek with a sand-bank. Now we have already travelled over 330 miles from Yangon. To say exactly we are now in central Myanmar which is hot and dry. The scenery has now remarkably changed. By about evening, we arrive at our destination, Bagan, the land of ancient cultural heritages. Finally, we get our destination. When we arrive Bagan, it is already 5:30 in the evening. As you have seen, the Bagan is thickly covered with pagodas of all sizes and shapes. And it is situated on the bank of Ayeyarwaddy river. Bagan is famous not only for the tourist attraction but also for the making of the lacquer ware in Myanmar. As it is evening, the tourists watch the amazing sun setting into the Ayeyarwaddy River which has no parallel in World. |
