Sagaing is situated 21 kilometer South West of Mandalay, the capital city of central Myanmar and it is on the West bank of Ayeyawaddy river. It is 45 minute drive from Mandalay to get Sagaing through 3,948 feet Innwa bridge which also carry the rail lake. It has an area of 485.16 square miles and the population is 100,000. |

You can see Sagaing not only pleasant but also developed. When you arrived at Sagaing, the place you should visit is Sagaing hill, the naturally pleasant Sagaing Hill is an abode of noble sage recluses. When you get there, you can pay homage to many pagodas and you may refresh because of the scenic spot of Sagaing Hill. And you can also enjoy the pleasant scenery of Ayeyawaddy river the live vein of Myanmar. The Sagaing hill is famous as a religious retreat among Myanmar people. Sagaing and the Sagaing hill abundantly rich in many pagodas and religious edifice and Myanma People can’t be separated from each other. HsoonUpunjashin Pagoda lies a top Ngaphar hill. One of that 37 hills the top of Sagaing hill. It was built in 674 by sage Upunja of Pintayatasishinthihathu. |

Uminthounhse or 30 caves pagoda has many buddha images in crescent shape colonnade. Mural paintings can be seen in the Thilawkaguru cave temple which was built around 1672. Then you can visit one of the most famous pagoda Sagaing Yarzamanisuelartharlon. It has wonderful architecture of spherical shape not like other Pagodas which are bell shape. On returning from the Pagoda, we arrived at Ywathaung village. |

It is famous for silversmith industry, beautiful and intricate design of silverware, attract visitors. Moreover, the person who are interested in eco-tourism and visitors can visit and study many places in and around Sagaing and the Sagaing Division such as Alaungdawhathatpha wild life sanctuary, Tuintaung, where spirulina produce and Shwebo, King Ataungmintayar U Aung Zay Ya, the founder of third Myanmar Kingdom resided. |
