The Republic of the Union of Myanmar is home to over 100 nationalities and every national has their own distinctive customs and traditions respectively.Nagas, one of the primitives are residing in the Northwest mountain region of Myanmar close to the Indian border.The Naga Traditional New Year Festival called Kainbi festival was celebrated at Lahe Twonship in Sagaing Region, so we look a trip to Lahe. Although the festival was held in the far flung area, it’s worth a visit to enjoy the new sights and the environment.

The huts built on steep slopes gave the view of a mountain village life.The market was a remarkable place for visitors to take photographs and buy a variety of Naga souvenirs.Fashion jewellaries decorative objects and other useful items of Naga were offered for sale to visitors.

The Naga people do not enjoy an easy life-style with modern comforts. They prefer to live traditionally as close to the nature as their ancestors lived.Most of their daily utensils are natural products.They always show friendliness toward stranger and interested in making friends with them.

I’m sure, every traveler who has witnessed their hospitality, costumes, daily life-style and many interesting sites of Nagas, will want to come and Nagaland to visit again and to learn more sense of reality of the Nagas’ life.
