Ruddy Shelduck can always be found in pairs. The male has a black ring under its neck. These Ruddy Shelduck are usually spotted on Sandbars along the vast rivers and open marshes. The Ruddy shelduck cannot be seen in regions close to the sea. Most of them are winter visitors to Myanmar.

Swan with total black color and with graceful movents are called Black Swans. They are strong fliers. Their main food is plants.

Takins are found in the mountains in northernmost part of Myanmar. They live on steep wooded mountain slopes at 700 to 8,000 ft above sea level. Grass and leaves are their main food. They search food in the mornings and evenings, but during the day they retire in shelter.
